The Nassau County Lacrosse Officials Association's uniform reflects the
requirements and standards as set forth by the New York State Lacrosse Officials
Association.

NYS Patch: All NYS State officials
are required to wear the N.Y.S. patch on the left shoulder sleeve
approximately three (3") inches below the shoulder seam.

Shirt: One inch black and white
vertical stripes on the body and sleeves. A black collar and
black sleeves are required. [Long sleeve shirts should be
worn until April 15th and short sleeve shirts should be worn
after April 15th. Changes may be made IF BOTH OFFICIALS AGREE]

Hat: Black hat with 1/8 white
piping.

Shorts: White shorts with belt
loops for a black belt. Five (5") inch inseam. [Solid
black nylon long pants may be worn on cold days IF BOTH OFFICIALS
AGREE]

Socks: Black upper stocking with
white lower portions are required. There must be approximately
four (4") inches of black upper section visible.
[Two (2) piece or one piece stockings are acceptable]

Undershirts: Undershirts and
turtle neck shirts must be black.

Shoes: Shoes must be black with
black laces.

Jackets: Black and white vertical
stripes with black collar and sleeves. [Black N.C.L.O.A.
jacket may be worn IF BOTH OFFICIALS AGREE]

Whistle: Finger power whistles
are strongly recommended.
[Lanyard whistles may be used with a black lanyard].

Penalty Flags: Two (2) solid
gold or yellow flags are required.

Beepers: All Jr.Varsity and Varsity
officials must have a beeper. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Gloves: Gloves are NOT required,
but may be worn if the color is black.
AMERICAN FLAG: In 2002, the NYSLOA has authorized
that the AMERICAN FLAG be worn ¾” above the left chest
pocket on ALL officials’ shirts.
